Privacy Policy — MemoroLearn
This Privacy Policy explains how MemoroLearn handles information when you use the app.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the MemoroLearn iOS app and related support pages. Third-party services (for example Apple and ad networks) have their own policies.
2. Data you create in the app
The app stores study data on your device, including imported books/files, reading progress, highlights, notes, flashcards, bookmarks, and app preferences.
3. Local-first design
MemoroLearn is built to keep your study content local to your device whenever possible. We do not run user cloud accounts for syncing your books and notes to our servers.
4. File imports
When you import files (PDF, EPUB, TXT, PGN), iOS may grant temporary file access. Imported files are copied into app-managed storage on your device.
5. Read-aloud (TTS)
Read-aloud uses Apple's on-device speech framework. We do not transmit your reading text to our own servers for text-to-speech playback.
6. Ads
The app may display ads, including rewarded ads that can grant extra read-aloud time. Ad delivery may involve Google AdMob and partner demand sources.
7. Tracking and ATT
If you allow tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, ad identifiers (such as IDFA) may be used by ad partners under their own policies. If denied, contextual/limited signals may be used instead.
8. Permissions
The app may ask for permissions like tracking authorization and notifications depending on feature usage. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
9. Purchases and billing
If paid features are introduced, billing is handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.
10. Data retention and deletion
Data is stored on your device. Uninstalling the app usually removes local app data unless retained by iOS backup behavior. You can also delete items from inside the app.
11. Children's privacy
MemoroLearn is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe this happened through support channels, contact us for review.
12. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no app is perfectly secure. Device-level protections (passcode, biometrics, OS updates) are important for protecting local study files.
13. International use
The app may be used globally. Third-party providers may process data in different jurisdictions according to their own policies.
14. Policy updates
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a revised "Last updated" date.
15. Contact
